Depend­ing upon the injuries present, after exam­i­na­tion, x-ray, imag­ing stud­ies and diag­no­sis, patients may receive the phys­io­ther­a­peu­tic modal­i­ties of elec­tric mus­cle stim­u­la­tion, heat, ice, trac­tion, ultra­sound and spinal adjust­ments from a licensed chi­ro­prac­tor as well as a ther­a­peu­tic mas­sage from a licensed mas­sage therapist.

At the com­ple­tion of treat­ment, Florida Injury Cen­ter physi­cians promptly dic­tate final nar­ra­tive reports, describ­ing all injuries that were caused by the accident.

ER DoctorThe nar­ra­tive pro­vides a ratio­nal for treat­ment pro­vided to the patient as well as the med­ical neces­sity of all diag­nos­tic test­ing and spe­cial­ist consultations.

The nar­ra­tive report will be a con­cise inte­gra­tion of all treat­ment pro­vided to the patient cul­mi­nat­ing in an impair­ment rat­ing fol­low­ing the 6th edi­tion of the AMA Impair­ment Guides.

Resid­ual lim­i­ta­tions and restric­tions placed on the patients daily per­sonal and work related activ­i­ties because of injuries sus­tained in the acci­dent and an esti­mate of needed future med­ical care also will be dis­cussed in the nar­ra­tive report.

Obtain­ing Records

Florida Injury Cen­ters main­tain a HIPPA com­pli­ant com­put­er­ized, elec­tronic, paper­less record keep­ing sys­tem. If desired, com­plete med­ical files can read­ily be e-mailed to legal rep­re­sen­ta­tives of patients within a few days of discharge.
